Who we are
Action Surface is an independent business operated by Peter Sean Schliff, a sole trader (ABN 43 995 518 595, registered business name R.A. Apparel), based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) for the personal information we handle.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us, through the enquiry form when it is open, or by email:
- your name, and your business or project name if you give one
- your email address, and your phone number if you give one
- your current website address, if you give one
- the object, material and customer action you chose in the showroom, which are attached to your enquiry
- whatever you write in your enquiry or email.
Our hosting provider processes your network address and standard request details to deliver the site. When the enquiry form is open, a one-way coded version of your network address is kept for 10 minutes to limit abuse, and a random reference for each enquiry is kept for 24 hours so that a repeated send is stored only once.
What we do not collect
This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts and no third-party embeds. Your browser keeps two things on your own device, for the current tab only: a draft of the enquiry form, so a refresh does not lose your answers (cleared once the enquiry is sent), and your motion preference if you pause the animations. The object, material and action you choose appear in the page address so a link can be shared; they contain no personal information. The 3D showroom and the QR and NFC demonstration run entirely in your browser: the site never uses your camera and does not read or write NFC.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to scope and quote a touchpoint project, and to carry out the project if you go ahead. We do not use it for marketing lists, do not add you to a mailing list, and do not sell or share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who else processes it
- Vercel Inc. hosts and delivers this website (United States and a global edge network).
- A cloud database provider stores enquiries sent through the online form when it is open.
- Email service providers send, receive and store our correspondence, including any enquiry notifications.
Because these providers operate globally, your information is likely to be disclosed to recipients overseas, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Links to other sites
The showroom may show or link to example pages run by other Schliff Group brands. Those sites have their own privacy notices, and following a link sends them nothing from your enquiry.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Project, order and payment records: for as long as the project needs them and as tax and other laws require.
- Abuse-prevention and duplicate checks: 10 minutes and 24 hours respectively.
- Hosting logs: a short operational period set by the hosting provider.
Security
Information travels over encrypted connections, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. Enquiries sent through the form are stored before the site confirms that yours was received. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you promptly, explain what happened and what we are doing about it, and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires.
Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@aurenholdstudios.com. We acknowledge requests and complaints within 5 business days and give a substantive response within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
We publish material changes here, with a new version number and effective date, before they take effect.
